Hello, my name is Brady Rigg. As far as I can remember, I have always been a storyteller; infatuated by the human condition. My friends, my brothers, and I would always play outside with sticks fashioned into makeshift swords. We would dream up fantastic whimsical worlds and the characters who inhabited them. We would draw out these other worlds’ details in our sketch pads; often borrowing heavily from whatever anime, cartoon, or video game had our fleeting attentions.
Not much has changed for me. I still dream of fantasy worlds. The only thing that has changed is how I materialize these fantasies. When I was a senior in high school, I began to learn how 3D model. This event would end up igniting my greatest professional passion, game development. I entered the Interdisciplinary Film and Digital Media program at UNM my sophomore year of college. The program was sold to me as a mix between a film and game development program; it was just a film program. I did not let this deter me, I just continued to work on learning 3D modeling, self-taught.
My ability to self-motivate myself to learn new skills has opened up many doors for me. Through my own scholastic pursuits and my collegiate exploits I have not only learned how to 3D model, but also have skill in: graphic design, website development, game development, directing films, and a greater overall understanding of story structure.
